Tom Petty walks the line between rock poet and complex guitar hero, in the same league as Bob Dylan and Neil Young. To the uninitiated, he’s too often confused with Southern rock a la Lynyrd Skynyrd by mid-level fans, he’s too written off as pop radio. We enjoy listening to and playing Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker songs. For a stick-thin, towheaded, Elvis fan from Florida, Thomas Earl Petty is, perhaps, an unexpected rock legend. Jack's gear includes Gretch and Orange County custom built drums. Last but not least is Jack Paletta who plays the part of Stan Lynch and Steve Ferrone. Pete uses a Yamaha ES8, a Hammond XK, and a digital Leslie processor board to produce those "Tench" sounds. Pete Algotson plays the part of Benmont Tench. He uses an Arsenal of basses from a Geddy Lee Fender Jazz 4-string to Philip Kubicki Factor 4-string as well as Warwick 5-string basses too! Line 6 digital guitar wireless's, Markbass amplification & cabinets with Boss ME-50B processing!!. Mike is proficient at slide guitar as well. Mike has several guitars and brings three to four guitars to the shows. Mike Kearns plays the part of Mike Campbell, playing lead guitar and sings vocal harmonies. Jim plays through a Vox tube amp and plays harmonica as well. Jim brings three guitars to the shows: a sunburst 6-string Rickenbacker, a Gibson 6-string Firebird, and a Schecter Stargazer 12- string guitar for that jingle jangle sound. Jim Wilson plays the part of Tom Petty, sings the lead, and plays rhythm guitar. We also do a couple of artists that Tom covered. We also cover his work with his other group The Travelling Wilburys consisting of George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, and Jeff Lynne. We play the music of Tom Petty from his album in 1976 to his last Tom petty and the Heartbreakers album in 2014. We are a five piece Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band.
